Frank Stahnisch invited by the President’s Commission on the History of the Max Planck Society, Berlin, Germany

As an international expert in the history of the neurosciences, Frank W. Stahnisch has been invited to join the President’s Commission on the History of the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science, Berlin, Germany, as a visiting researcher from April-26 to June-26, 2017.  Based on his existing work on the history of the German-speaking neuromorphological sciences, 1910-1945, he will now engage especially with the postwar history of the neuroscience-related Max Planck Institutes (including Psychiatry, Neurological Research, and Psycholinguistics).  He particularly collaborates with Prof. Juergen Renn (Division I of the MPIWG), Dr. Florian Schmaltz (GMPG), and their team in the research program, which covers the overall history from the postwar foundation (1948) of the German Max Planck Society (MPG) to today.
