Christine Leppard recently defended her doctoral dissertation entitled "Fighting as a Colony? 1st Canadian Corps in Italy, 1943-1945" 


New Book: Pemmican Empire: Food, Trade, and the Last Bison Hunts in the North American Plains, 1780-1882.

Dr. Smith has excelled at leadership, research, teaching, and community service during the 35 years that he taught Canadian history at the university and this award is a fitting recognition of his work in highlighting and advancing the history of Calgary and Western Canada.

Russ Benneweiss recently defended his doctoral dissertation entitled "On War Planning: The 29th U.S. Infantry Division as a Case Study in Manning and Training an Army during the Second World War." 

Hendrik Kraay launches new book that studies the civic rituals of the Brazilian empire (1823-89).

Stuart Barnard recently received the RBC-Bodleian Visiting Fellowship at Oxford University, UK.
