2009: Outbreak of the Second World War

In honour of the seventieth anniversary of the outbreak of the Second World War, the University of Calgary invites scholars from around the world to share new analyses of this global conflict. We invite researchers from relevant disciplines to share their research on the following topics: * Turning Points Revisited * Coalition Warfare * Tertiary Theatres “New perspectives” may include, but are not limited to, revisiting operational history, studying the impact of culture on combat, the relationship between the environment and warfare, civil-military relations, or economic mobilization.
